So, you’ve run your backtest and now you want to make sense of the results.
It’s not as complicated as it may seem. Let’s take a quick tour of the data that matters.
At the top of the page, you’ll see your strategy’s name, followed by your hits, total P/L, and below that, the entry and exit conditions.
In the middle of the page, below the strategy information, you’ll notice a chart. This chart represents each time your strategy executed a hit in the past 90 days.
You can hover your mouse over specific data points to get detailed information about each trade in pop-up windows.
Key Metrics
Total Hits: This shows the number of times your strategy performed a successful entry and exit.
Total P/L: This is the profit or loss generated by your strategy over the past 90 days.
Return: This represents the profit or loss in percentage terms, relative to the initial buy-in of all your trades.
Below the chart, you'll find the winning and losing percentages for your strategy, as well as the number of trades and total P/L generated by each category.
On the right-hand side of the chart, you'll find your cards with detailed information on each entry and exit trigger. These cards provide data about each trade, including:
Entry and exit times
Amount of units traded
