Backtesting plays an important role in one's trading plan.

It offers traders a way to evaluate and optimize their strategies before implementing them in real-world markets by providing traders with vital statistics on P/L, win/loss ratios, and much more.

  • Our first step would be to create a strategy to backtest and yes, exactly the same way as you'd create any strategy on

  • Once we have our entry, click next and enter your exit condition/s - which is essential when running a backtest.

  • Then click next again, and select backtest.

Once backtesting of the strategy is complete, which shouldn't take too long, you'll have all the results on easy to read widgets.

You can edit your backtest or if you'd like you can rerun it. If you like the results, you can "Replicate as Real" straight away.
