You can stop your strategy at any point, regardless of whether it still has open positions or orders.

You can either stop a strategy on the spot, or schedule it to stop in the future.

To stop your strategy immediately:

  1. Navigate to the menu on the left-hand side of the page and click My Strategies.

  2. Then click on the strategy menu icon.

  3. Select the Stop button. After doing so, our confirmation page will give you one last chance to keep your strategy running.

By default, stopping your strategy will prevent future entries and exits. This means that if you have any open positions and/or pending orders related to that strategy, they will be closed or canceled right away.

If you want to stop your strategy and keep related positions open, you’re in luck. You can continue to monitor these positions through your regular trading account by changing your preferences. To do this, expand the Preferences menu after you’ve clicked Stop on your strategy and select the second option on the list.

Please note that if you select this option you cannot use the Capitalise application to manage your trade and this strategy cannot be re-started in the future.

To stop the strategy after the current hit finishes:
Go to the Strategy page and toggle from In Loop to Once (If you’re not sure what that means, you can read more here).  This will cause your strategy to stop after the next time it closes a position (as defined by your exit strategy).  Now, it won’t look for another opportunity to enter a position, and thus, you have successfully stopped your strategy.

If you wish to delete a strategy from your account completely you can go to My Strategies and Stopped

Choose the strategy you want to delete and click on the strategy menu from which you should choose Delete.

Please note this action is not reversible.
