One of the beautiful things about Capitalise is that it can connect to multiple exchanges, so you can manage all your trades in one place. Those exchanges include Binance and HitBTC. If you want to get started making actual trades with actual funds, you’ll need to connect your Capitalise account to at least one of those exchanges.
Before you start trading, you’ll have to take a few minutes to set it all up. There are two different ways that you can do that, and today we’re going to take you through both of them step by step.
Your first option is to click on the hamburger menu in the top left. Click “Trading Account API” on the bottom left.
Then, you’ll see a popup window asking which exchange you’d like to connect to — click on your exchange-of-choice. Next, you’ll be able to enter your Secret and API Key to connect your account.
Not sure how to find your Secret or API Key? Not to worry; we’ll show you how. Hover over “Show me how.”
Start by clicking the “Create Secure Connection” button. Then, name this connection “Capitalise.” Click “Create New Key.” Next, enter your two-factor authentication code for Binance and click “Submit.” Finally, copy both your Secret and API Key, and voila! You’re connected.
It’s important to remember that the API Key and Secret for your account are shown only once, together — so you’ll have to copy them both at the same time.
Your other option is to jump right into building a strategy. As with any strategy, you’ll need to specify the exchange in your order. This will all be business as usual, until you get to the last step. Then, you’ll see a popup asking you to connect the account you specified to carry out your order.
And then the sky’s the limit. You can connect to as many exchanges as we have available and use the same strategy to trade on multiple exchanges.
However, do note that you can only connect to one account per exchange. That means that if you use two Binance accounts for different purposes, you’ll only be able to integrate one with your Capitalise account.
Now, you’re all set to go. Happy trading!
